Farewell Deborah: Message from the STM Board

Important Message from the Save the Mothers Board of Directors

Dear Friends,

Save the Mothers has been blessed to have Deborah Mensah as our Executive Director, leading our organization for the past 3 years.  She has worked closely with the East African Director, Dr. Miriam Mutabazi, strengthening systems and protocols as well as collaborating and supporting the ongoing work that continues to change the maternal outcomes in Uganda.  Deborah is leaving us to begin a new journey as she is in the process of moving her family to Ghana.

We will certainly miss her, as she has brought so much to the table to ensure the ongoing work of Maternal and Child Health in East Africa.  She leaves behind a very strong team here in Canada that are excited to continue in this vital work.  This would not be possible without your generous partnership in Save the Mothers.  Thank You.  And as we enter this New Year, may our mission thrive so that women and their unborn children will survive.

Sincerely,

Mary Harvey, Board Chair & The Save the Mothers Board of Directors

I am grateful for the spirit of Saving Mothers at birth instilled in me by STM programme at Uganda Christian University. I will do my best to fish more to the same! Thank you for the commendable job! I feel, I cannot do any other social business on this earth that is not Maternal related! Can you imagine!
