The Save the Mothers Program is a Master’s Degree in Public Health Leadership, first started at Uganda Christian University in 2005. Students study on a part time basis over two years, completing the program with an intensive community outreach project.
Is to train local leaders to reduce maternal mortality within their own country.
Is that no mother, or her child, should die from preventable causes.
That universal access to safe maternal care in childbirth is a basic human right.
In partnership with other like-minded groups and individuals.
